I booked a Delux room. Bearing in mind that some time ago I stayed in this hotel in normal room and it was fine. I decided to pay a little extra for more comfortable stay. This time, I had a room downstairs. Window was to the INSIDE of the hotel, on the stairway to the kitchen. So no fresh air, nothing. The bed was terrible, very squicky. Walls made out of paper as you could hear everything from other rooms! Doors on the outside were banging very loud all the time! The shower were leaking from time to time, making noises too. I came to the hotel very late, so I had none to talk to. The next day, I have raised a complaint online, and that's when communication with the hotel broke completely. I was getting messages after a few days and after chasing them. I have been told someone contacted me on my email - never happened. The final message from the hotel was that they can't offer anything else apart from apologies as I haven't raised my concerns soon as I arrived. I'm not really sure how I should do that on the 11pm when no staff was present in the hotel. Do not pay for the Delux room. This was such a waste of money. Terrible experience, I will never go back.

Don't be put off by some of the reviews. Try the Peckham Rooms hotel for yourself and make up your own mind. Yes, the check-in system is bizarre, and not having booked directly, I hadn't received the instructions. But a quick phone call resolved everything. The hotel is run by the same people as the Church Street Hotel in Camberwell, which, while quirky (see previous review) is well run and professional. In fact, if their website explained this, I might have stayed there before. The room I had was small, functional and clean, and the bed comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Nice room and shower. Definitely did the job. Would stay again if I was in Peckham. We were a little confused about the breakfast situation but we walked about 15 mins to a different cafe for breakfast.

Stayed here as it was close to a event as I was attending located between Queens Road Peckham overground Station and Peckham rye Station and town centre Room was a twin room reasonably sized no kettle but there is tea coffee facility in the restaurant would Stay again

Friendly staff and clean. But the room (Room 2, situated in basement) was awful. Small, dark and little natural light or ventilation. Lack of space made worse by them placing two beds (double and single) into the room. The only window was small and the window blind had to stay down as otherwise passers-by on street would see right into room. This exacerbated the lack of natural light. Breakfast was deficient for lack of hot food (except boiled eggs). Poor value, given the money I was paying. Avoid.
